Lots of new announcements made by Disney!

Regulations, Fast passes, cancellations, a new reservation system…

Here’s the rundown:

The Disney Park Pass System is a new theme park reservation system that was opened yesterday, June 22, to guests with existing resort hotel reservations and valid theme park admission linked in their My Disney Experience Account.

Parks are set to reopen beginning on July 11th for The Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom parks, and July 15th for Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.

Upon the reopening of the Disney World theme parks, you will be required to have a reservation (via the Disney Park Pass System) as well as a ticket to enter each park. This is how Disney is managing the limited capacity of the parks.

When the parks first reopen, there will be no fast pass reservations available, no park hopping, and no extra magic hours. This really simplifies the planning process, if you think about it.

Disney has always done an amazing job at making our experience as guests in their parks truly magical! Safety comes first, and its great to hear of all of the safety measures they plan to have in place. I am super excited to see what they have in store for all of their guests throughout the rest of this year.

I am especially curious to see what the attraction wait times will be like with the limited park capacities.

New regulations:

Everyone ages 2 and above will be required to wear a mask while in the parks.

Temperature screening will be taking place as well, and anyone with a temperature greater than 100.4 will be denied entry into the park.

Cancellations:

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Disney H20 Glow Nights have been cancelled for 2020.

The Eat to the Beat Concert Series at EPCOT has been cancelled for this year.

A new festival has been added: The Taste of Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. This will begin with the park’s opening on July15th and will offer loads of food booths.

Spas, Salons, and the Harmony Barbershop will not be available during the initial reopening.
