Having a plan in place when visiting Animal Kingdom will help you make the best use of that valuable time. Here is a list of all the Animal Kingdom Attractions to help you make that must-do list for your fun-filled day at this amazing park!

Africa

  • Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail
    • A self paced walking tour through a tropical forest where you may encounter exotic birds, and African wildlife. These trails are wheelchair and ECV friendly.
  • Harambe Theater
    • Home the Festival of the Lion King (viewings are currently suspended until further notice). This is a 30 minute broadway style performance based upon the animated film. Super talented group of performers here. Stadium bleachers encircle the stage area below in a climate controlled setting for this performance. The theater is wheelchair and ECV friendly. A not to miss attraction, once it reopens.
  • Kilimanjaro Safaris
    • A very popular 22 minute safari through the African savanna where you can experience some up-close encounters with many different animals. Experience this in the early morning or evening to catch more wildlife out and about.
  • Rafiki’s Planet Watch
    • Conservation Station
      • view veterinary facilities and the science center at Animal Kingdom. There are exhibits available here for self-paced viewing as well. Wheelchairs and ECVs are welcome.
      • The Animation Experience at the Conservation Station
        • This is a newer attraction located inside of the Conservation Station. Led by a Disney Animator, you will be provided hands-on, step by step instructions for drawing one of your favorite Disney characters. The instructions are very easy to follow, and all ages are welcome.
      • Affection Section (currently unavailable)
        • A small outdoor animal petting area located directly adjacent to the Conservation Station building. Standard wheelchair accessible.

Asia

  • Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
    • A thrilling coaster ride through the Himalayan mountains. You’ll travel forwards and backwards to narrowly escape the Yeti. You must be 44 inches tall to ride. Great use of a fastpass here if they are available. If you are using an ECV or whellchair, you must be able to transfer to the ride vehicle.
  • Kali River Rapids
    • Prepare to be soaked on this whitewater rafting ride through the jungle. Dips, turns, waterfalls, and water spraying elephants will all be sources of your soaking. Riders must be 38 inches tall and if you are using an ECV or wheelchair, you must transfer to the ride vehicle.
  • Maharajah Jungle Trek
    • A self-guided walking tour where you will view wildlife native to Southeast. Spot tigers, monkeys, bats, and a Komodo dragon along the way. These trails are wheelchair and ECV friendly.
  • Up! A Great Bird Adventure (Currently unavailable)
    • A 25 minute experience featuring exotic birds and your friends from the Disney/Pixar animated film. It is rumored that this show is slated to be replaced altogether, no official information has been provided.
  • Rivers of Light: We are One (Show suspended until further notice)
    • An amazing nighttime spectacular with floats, laser lights and digital projections. Stadium style seating surrounding Discovery Lagoon.

Dinoland USA

  • Boneyard (closed until further notice)
    • A dinosaur themed playground and dig site for the young ones
  • Finding Nemo The Musical (show suspended until further notice)
    • Watch as Nemo’s story comes to life using larger than life puppets, special effects, and that Disney touch of magic. You’ll be seated indoors with climate control, in theater style seats. The show lasts around 40 minutes and the theater is wheelchair and ECV friendly.
  • Dinosaur
    • Take a trip back in time to help save a dinosaur from extinction, but watch out for that Velociraptor! Super bumpy ride here, don’t recommend experiencing this right after eating. Riders must be at least 40 inches tall to ride. Those using an ECV or a wheelchair must be able to transfer to the ride vehicle.
  • Fossil Fun Games (closed until further notice)
    • Carnival style games (pay per play) in Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama area. Try your luck and see if you can win carnival prizes playing these classic games.
  • Triceratop Spin
    • This is Animal Kingdom’s version of the Dumbo ride in the Magic Kingdom. Themed cars spinning around a central hub. Here it is a triceratops. The kids really seem to flock to these, though.

Discovery Island

  • Discovery Island Trails
    • Enjoy beautiful landscaping along the way as you walk these trails littered with animal viewing opportunities. Trails are wheelchair and ECV friendly.
  • It’s Tough to be a Bug
    • Super cute 3D film starring some of your favorite characters from the Disney/Pixar film, “A Bug’s Life”. This is an indoor theater with bench style seating and climate control. The attraction experience lasts about eight minutes, and the theater is wheelchair and ECV friendly.
  • Wilderness Explorers
    • Grab your instruction book and map to participate in this free scavenger hunt. You’ll earn badges that are supplied by cast members as you participate in the activities throughout the Animal Kingdom.

Pandora

  • Avatar Flight of Passage
    • Fly through the skies of Pandora on your very own Banshee! This is arguably, the best ride at Disney World! A fully immersive 3D experience that you won’t soon forget. There’s a 44 inch height requirement to ride. As for accessibility, riders must be able to transfer to a standard wheelchair, and then to the ride vehicle to experience this attraction. 
  • Na’vi River Journey
    • A relaxing, slow moving boat ride through a bioluminescent rainforest within Pandora. Beautiful sights to see during your four and a half minute ride in search of the Na’vi Shaman of Songs.
